Today was a special and quite surreal feeling day. Emma King of North Wales Play Therapy and I gave a presentation to Lady Hamner, the High Sheriff of Clwyd.

The first year of our work at Plas Derwyn, the pupil referral unit in Flintshire, has been partly funded by the Crimebeats Award arranged through the community policing team and the High Sheriff. Our presentation today highlighted the work that we’d been doing and the successes we’ve had. Some of the children we’ve worked with also came to explain the benefits of Play and Creative Arts Therapy from their perspective. We’re hoping that we will receive further funding to continue our work.
