Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is probably best described as a process within which there is a focus on the development of one professional through the support of another in order that the clients receive the best care. This “development” of a professional (the supervisee) can be separated into 3 main functions, those of Management, Education, and Support which address responsibilities and standards, theory and professional development, and self-awareness and self-care respectively.

As a Play Therapist, I utilise creativity within my supervision sessions to help supervisees to understand things more deeply, notice things that they previously hadn’t, and see things from different viewpoints. I work in a process-led way, integrating creativity and the outdoors into our sessions, creating an open, non-judgmental, and congruent space allowing the supervisee to develop their autonomy and authentic self.

I can offer supervision to trainee and qualified play therapists, as well as others working with children and young people. Please contact me for more details.
