Well, that’s me finished working in schools now for the foreseeable future! I’m 23 weeks pregnant, and lugging round boxes on trolleys, and driving 130 mile round trips is starting to take its toll. By the time September comes around, I won’t be able to do any of this easily. It wouldn’t be fair on my clients to arrive already exhausted, nor fair on my unborn child to add unnecessary stress. I’m not sure whether I’ll be back in schools at a later time in my career, however, for now, I’m looking forward to being a non-mobile therapist. I will be continuing sessions in my therapy space in Telford throughout the summer holidays and into the Autumn term, starting my official maternity leave towards the end of November. I will miss the schools I’ve been working in, particularly Plas Derwyn in association with Emma King at North Wales Play Therapy, but have left them in the capable hands of Nadine.
