I have finally officially qualified as a creative clinical supervisor. Despite my certificate saying 8 days training, this qualification took me 2.5 years (!) and encompassed:
*7 consecutive, experiential, in-person training days (whilst 15 weeks pregnant)
*40 hours of supervised practice (though I've now done over 100)
*3 books reviews
*1 case study
*a personal philosophy of supervision
*a viva
*a follow up day, including presentation, via zoom
*a new-born baby (who is now 2...)
*a family bereavement
*a worldwide pandemic
I was probably quite naïve in thinking I could complete coursework whilst "the baby slept" without throwing Covid into the mix! I'm so glad I have completed it though, absolutely loving this new area of work - although the weather is currently making working outdoors a little less fun!
If you are looking for a clinical supervisor to support your work with children, whether in therapy, education or care, please get in touch. I have a few spaces available.
